Christmas with the Biddulph's is always a fun time of year! Thanks for hosting the Chaos Mom and DadBob and the boys decided to play Swords. It was Bob against three until his sword broke.Vance found the perfect place to carry his swords.
We took McKinley, Vance and Miles to the fun house just before the party! Anything to do to wear them out. This years game....The Cash Cab, cab complementary of Dad. McKinley and Dad take their turn answering questions. McKinley is good at Ancienct Greek questions.
We used our well won money to buy prize packages. Vance and Miles would willingly help anyone to open their packages. The biggest hit....bug bracelets.
After the game we set out milk and cookies for Santa, carrots for the reindeer, and our Christmas lists. Vance and Miles were thrilled with their snakes. Becca and Emma were equally thrilled with the scooters Dad made for them. Don't tell Tim, but the words USU and BYU are hidden in the seats. We couldn't resist taking a picture of all the "twins" But best of all....Miles got a Hippopotomus for Christmas. That Santa, he can work wonders.

Mom and Dad come to Virginia

We started out by taking Mom and Dad to the Luray Caverns. Look at these stalactites.
Here we are in a cavern full of stalactites. Oh my, they are everywhere. I don't think we are in Kansas anymore Toto.
I think this one looks like a big ice cream scoop. (Not Mom and Dad, the stalactite behind) :-)
Couldn't help putting in one more picture, just because they are amazing.
Next door to the caverns is a car exhibit. Dad wishes he had one of these parked in his garage at home.
OK, So I know this is a funny picture, but this trashcan actually talks and says thank you after you dispose of your trash. Only the federal government would be silly enough to pay for a talking trash can. I think Oscar the Grouch should sue. He really was the first talking trash can.
Here we are on a trip to Colonial Williamsburg. Alison....Illian Vosh. (I'm sure that is spelled wrong, but you get the idea).
This is outside at Jamestown. We were kind of pooped after walking around for so many days.

In case you were wondering where it was.
Yes...this is the actual dress from Carol Burnett's "Gone with the Wind" scene.
Look who else we found at the Smithsonian. Thanks for coming Mom and Dad!!!!
Our good Friends Josh, Kathy and their boy Mac came down to visit. We all went to the Zoo for the day. We had such fun.
Here Mac and Josh are checking out an orangutan. Not sure where the orangutan is....but he was at least in his cage.
I took this just to show the beautiful flowers that can grow here in Virginia. Aahhhh not to live in a desert.
Bob and Mac are checking out the turtle that is sitting on the log. Is that kind of like a bump on a log? Hummm?
I'm way behind in my Blogging....so here goes. We took a lovely trip with Bob's Parents to Colonial Williamsburg this spring. This picture was taken under this beautiful flowering pink tree.
This is outside the Governor's Mansion in Williamsburg. Wish my garden looked like that.

On Saturday, May 1st Mark and Tiffany and their children were sealed in the Boston Temple
We were all there to be apart of this joyful occasion.

Afterwords we all went to this little Italian Diner for dinner. Maddy decided she didn't want to sit with the rest of us. She went and got one of the newspapers by the door to look at. She was trying to be grown up. Not that she is old enough to read....but look what she picked. How is it that we always attract the seedy side of life when we go traveling. We all had a good laugh at this one.

On Sunday we traveled to the Aquarium in Boston. Maddie and I are looking at the crabs. Mark Bob and Addie were watching the penguins.

Jim treated us all to a carriage ride around the old part of Boston. I felt like a belle at the ball, minus the pretty dress and glass slippers.

We ended the say with some good old fashioned silly hats! Now that's a fun day.

Congrats! Mark and Tiffany

Welcome to our new home! Look at the change with some green trees outside and with bright pink bushes flowering by my front door. I also have some fun bluebell flowers growing in my flowerbed. What fun surprises.

After much trouble and tribulation Moving Day finally came! The kids all showed up at 8:00 and helped us move the boxes and stuff, then the movers called to ask if they could come early. After much toil the whole house was moved from our apartment into our new home and by 4:30 PM the whole show was over.

The Movers were incredible. They could lift anything. It took only 1 man to move my cedar chest and to move our heavy end tables. Bob and I tried to move the TV consul after they left.....we couldn't even budge the thing.

This is our BIG moving van. It's amazing how much stuff you accumulate and we don't even have Children yet.

So this is before and after in our Living Room. We painted it Classic Taupe, added light fixtures, sconces and crown molding.

This is the room with a few fixtures.

This is the dining room. We uncovered the hardwood floors and changed out the awful light fixture.

If you turn your head sideways you will see the new flooring in the Kitchen as well.

When it comes to the Bathroom....All I can say is Embrace the Pink. I was not going to do anything with the room but the painters painted it Classic Taupe before we noticed. It's a marked improvement.

It's official....We're Virginians. After lots of work, a few hick-ups, and my name signed 1000 times we are the proud new owners of a lovable 1961 Rambler. We bought the place from a wonderful lady who had lived in the house for 50 years. She and her sister (who lived next door) decided to sell their homes and move into an assisted living center together. We have some really nice new neighbors who also moved in and we are excited to step into our next adventure of being home owners.

The house is two levels (main level and a basement). The top is completely finished and the downstairs is 1/2 finished. It's 5 bedrooms and 3 bath, so there is plenty of room for visitors to come and spend some time in the Nations Capital. Hint Hint....buy that plane ticket.

Let me take you on a small tour. This is our Living Room. It's actually 19 x 16

This is our Family Bathroom. Yes it is Bright Pink, and that's the original Toilet! But no fear to all of those who's manliness is being threatened the Master Bathroom if of the same decor...just grey! The 5 year old daughter of the Young Women's President thought that the pink bathroom was just heavenly.

This is my Kitchen. It is really pretty with solid Cherry cabinets. The old owner had some class.

However we do have to swap out the olive green carpet in some of the bedrooms. My guess is that the olive green was very popular in it's day.

Below is the backyard where I'm going to grow a garden. Dad, do you still have that old Grow box book? I'm craving fresh tomatoes.

WE CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL HERE !
